Rushmere Nurseries is a fourth-generation family business based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We pride ourselves on excellent quality of plants and a personal service.

Our main business is selling wholesale to garden centres and landscape companies but in Spring 2020 we began selling directly to the public when the first lockdown occurred.  The support we received has encouraged us to launch this new online shop to give a select choice of garden ready plants for you to enjoy.  As a smaller producer we are only able to take orders if you live in local postcodes LU7, LU6 and MK17.  

Plant quality is at the heart of what we do but we are also investors in green energy – our glasshouses are heated using ground source heat pump technology and biomass boilers supplied with sustainably sourced local woodchip, as well as a solar panel installation to generate electricity.  

Our main growing season is Spring, when we have a lovely range of bedding plants which flower all through the Summer as well as vegetables and perennials.  Into Autumn we produce pansy, viola, a large range of primrose and cyclamen, and finally, Poinsettias for Christmas.
